Is the new Union Court going to have a performing arts theatre?

A 150 seat professional theatre is planned for the new culture and events space in the redevelopment. There will also be two event pavilions available for smaller theatre and other performances.

What space will be made available for student theatre groups during the redevelopment?

The University has made an arrangement with the Canberra Repertory Society Theatre to provide subsidised venue hire for ANU student group theatre productions from Semester 2 2017 to Semester 1 2019.

Due to overwhelming demand, the Canberra Repertory Society Theatre is now fully booked for the remainder of 2017.

ANU is working with The National University Theatre Society (NUTS) and ANUSA to find alternative venue options for student productions.
