Work on the Pop-Up village is scheduled to start tomorrow, Wednesday 8 March 2017, and will be finished by July, when the village is scheduled to open.

During the next seven to 10 days workers will be marking and establishing the building site, putting up temporary fencing and signage, demolishing the demountable buildings and protecting and, where necessary, removing trees and shrubs. Temporary fencing around the entire site to keep pedestrians safe.

There will be some it large equipment in operation during the preliminary work but all heavy machinery work is expected to be completed by 20 March 2017.

Pedestrian access around the some parts of the building site will be affected during the construction period. Access to the north side of the A.D. Hope Building will be restricted, but there will be access along University Avenue and next to the Nigel Bowen Commonwealth Law Courts.

A special meeting will be held in the ANU Arts Centre tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday 8 March) from 1-2pm to provide a more detailed overview of the project plan. You can register your interest to attend at reunion.info@anu.edu.au or just show up.
